Reaching K-12 and college students, the Sentry Insurance Foundation helps empower future members of our communities’ workforces. Our giving is focused on workforce development, creating jobs and economic opportunity.
We believe in the power of education and the value it brings to our communities. That’s why we provide $600,000 in scholarship opportunities each year to eligible students.
Since 2008, Sentry has given $17 million in technology grants, helping ensure students are equipped for the future.
Sentry has a long history of investing in workforce development initiatives aimed at creating a skilled workforce and talent pipeline for the future. This benefits not just Sentry—but the community and region at large. A few highlights of our giving include donations to the following:
In 2016, we partnered with the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point (UWSP) to develop a data analytics program. This $4 million gift helped create a talent pipeline for local employers in multiple industries and addressed a growing data analytics talent gap in the region.
In 2019, we contributed $2 million to the Medical College of Wisconsin-Central Wisconsin Campus to support medical education and create the Sentry Deanship.
In 2022, Sentry made a $10 million transformational gift to UWSP to propel the Sentry School of Business and Economics and create a state-of-the-art facility to be named Sentry Hall.
We understand the importance of standing with marginalized groups, and we support efforts to build stronger, more equitable communities.
For generations, we’ve been committed to improving the communities where we live and work. It’s a reflection of our values and the people that make these communities so special.
