For generations, we’ve been committed to helping improve the communities we’re a part of. Our employees consistently contribute their time, efforts, and resources to the places where they live and work. As a company, we follow suit.
The marquee fundraising event at Sentry is our annual, two-week campaign dedicated to raising money for United Way. Through employee personal gifts and pledges, special events fundraising, and donation-matching by the Sentry Insurance Foundation, we’re helping those in our communities who need it most.
By participating in and supporting our local communities, we contribute to a better quality of life and healthier society. A few highlights of our giving include donations to the following:
Green Circle Trail to help build a one-third mile boardwalk connecting the Green Circle Trail and Plover River Trail, offering a unique year-round outdoor experience for people of all abilities.
Lake Pacawa Inclusive, Accessible Park helping to fund improvements, including accessibility for children and families of all abilities.
Mid-State Technical College to help create the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Technology Apprenticeship Center in Stevens Point to address an important workforce need.
Stevens Point Curling Club for a new state-of-the-art curling center named Sentry Curling Center, which recently hosted the Junior Nationals Championship in 2022.
Our ties with Maui run deep through relationships and friendships that benefit both communities. We've cultivated a bond that goes far beyond business—from our title sponsorship of the The Sentry PGA TOUR tournament in Kapalua to the Connected Communities initiative that partners Stevens Point and Maui.
Maui is like family—ohana—to Sentry. When the island faced devastating wildfires in August 2023, we leaned on our strong relationships with community leaders to offer support. Our giving included donations to assist with the immediate relief efforts, and an additional $1 million to help address youth mental health needs as children and adolescents grapple with the fire's heartbreaking effects.
We understand the importance of standing with marginalized groups, and we support efforts to build stronger, more equitable communities.
Sentry has a long history of supporting education, reaching students from kindergarten through college. We believe education brings value and economic opportunity to our workforce and communities.
