The Sentry celebrates Hawaiian tradition through giving
Are you feeling the Aloha spirit? So are some of the world’s best players, and they’re showing it this year by taking part in one of the island’s local traditions, Aloha Friday—all for a good cause.
Aloha Friday is a weekly cultural tradition on Maui when community members wear Hawaiian clothing on Friday to welcome the weekend.
On Friday, January 5, 2024, we’re encouraging players to join the tradition by wearing their favorite Hawaiian-patterned clothing while they compete throughout the day. As the title sponsor, we’ll donate $1,000 for each Hawaiian patterned clothing item players wear—up to $4,000 per player—which will go to local Maui charities.
The following player items count toward the cause:
- Shirts
- Pants
- Shoes
- Hats
Whether you’re a fan, volunteer, caddie, or TV broadcaster, we encourage you to join the fun as well. Show support for the cause and celebrate one of Maui’s great traditions by wearing your own Hawaiian attire.
