Receiving gold standard certification reflects Sentry’s commitment to keeping customers’ data safe.
STEVENS POINT, Wis. (October 10, 2023) – Today, Sentry announced that its National Accounts and Retirement Plan Services lines of business have achieved ISO 27001 certification—an internationally recognized standard of information security best practices. BARR Certifications performed an independent assessment prior to issuing the certification.
Information security breaches are a growing problem, especially for businesses in the financial sector. To obtain this gold standard in certification, Sentry had to clearly demonstrate a rigorous ongoing, structured approach to data management.

It demonstrates our ongoing commitment to security. We’re dedicated to protecting the confidentiality and integrity of our systems and information, including our customers’ data.”
The ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification mandates numerous controls for the establishment, operation, monitoring, maintenance, and continual improvement of an information security management system. It certifies that an organization has deep-rooted methodologies for business, people, and IT processes, along with an established framework to help identify, manage, and reduce risks surrounding information security.
BARR Certifications is an ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB)-accredited, independent, and impartial certification body with auditors located throughout the U.S. They provide services to the ISO/IEC 27001 and 27701 standards and are responsible for granting, refusing, maintaining, renewing, and suspending certification.
To maintain certification, Sentry will continue to conduct security risk assessments, internal audits, and be evaluated by an independent third party on an ongoing basis.
