Medical College of Wisconsin executive director brings strong leadership skills to Sentry
STEVENS POINT, Wis. (April 26, 2022) – Patricia Steinert, a leader in health care research, has joined the Sentry Board of Directors.
Steinert currently is Executive Scientific Director and Associate Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin Center for International Blood and Marrow Research. She has spent most of her career working in healthcare research and education.
Pete McPartland, Sentry Chairman of the Board, President, and CEO, said Steinert’s knowledge in health care will be beneficial for Sentry, a 118-year-old mutual insurance group that primarily serves businesses, including insurance and related services for the healthcare industry, among others.
“Patricia understands the importance of working as a team to achieve success,” McPartland said. “She’s a great cultural fit for our board and will help drive our business forward in meaningful ways.”
Prior to joining the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), Steinert worked in higher education administration while pursuing a PhD in public health. During her 16-year career at MCW, she has provided strategic and operational leadership while facilitating key partner relationships.
“During my career, I have developed strong skill sets for strategic design and organizational planning,” said Steinert. “I’m honored and excited about the opportunity to bring those assets to Sentry, a company with a strong history of demonstrated success, and a long runway of opportunity for the future.”
A resident of Milwaukee, Steinert earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, her MBA from the University of Illinois Chicago, and a doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
With the addition of Steinert, the Sentry Board of Directors now has 10 members.
