Forbes names Sentry among its Best-in-State Employers

Based on a survey of U.S. employees, Forbes named Sentry among Wisconsin’s best employers

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (November 11, 2022) – Forbes again included Sentry on its Best-in-State Employers list. This is the sixth consecutive year Sentry has been named one of Wisconsin’s best employers.

Founded in 1904, Sentry is one of the largest and financially secure mutual insurance groups in the United States. The company employs more than 4,800 individuals nationwide, with about half living and working in Wisconsin.

“It’s an honor to be recognized as one of Wisconsin’s best employers,” said Pete McPartland, Sentry chairman of the board, president, and CEO. “What makes it more meaningful is that this recognition comes from our own employees, who drive our success. They’re engaged, and they care about the work they do and about each other. It’s heartening to see they feel Sentry is a great place to work and grow their career.”

The Best-In-State list is determined using data provided by Statista. The leading market research company surveyed 70,000 Americans that work for businesses with more than 500 employees. Respondents were asked to rate their employers on a variety of criteria, including likeliness to recommend their employer, work environment safety, competitiveness of compensation, and opportunities for advancement.

Earlier this year, Sentry was also named to Forbes' 2022 list of America’s Best Midsize Employers.
